Manufacturing PMI Drops

The manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) dropped in January to its lowest mark since May 2020. The one percentage point drop was the third consecutive economic contraction after nearly three years of expansion. PMI is viewed by many analysts to be a viable leading indicator of business conditions.
