The price of natural gas is getting more expensive by the day. The June 2021 contract is trading at nearly 64 cents more than its 2020 counterpart. Consistent with projections from analysts, including EIA, prices in 2021 should rebound from circa $2.00/mmbtu in 2020 to near $3.00/mmbtu in 2021. On May 4, CME NYMEX Henry Hub spot prices hit the highest mark since February 18 as the benchmark traded just above $2.00/mmbtu.
