ERCOT has published its latest seasonal assessment of resource adequacy report and the operator is confident of sufficient generation to meet peak demand this summer. ERCOT has revised down its peak load forecast by 1,496 MW from the previous report to account for the economic impact of COVID-19. However, the forecast is still higher than the all-time peak demand record that was set on August 12, 2019.
