DC Solar Expansion Act

The mayor of Washington, D.C. has signed the Local Solar Expansion Amendment Act of 2022. Pending Congressional approval, this Act increases the solar requirement of the Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard from 10% to 15% by 2041.

Upon the act becoming law, customers seeking retail contracts may notice an increase in RPS costs attributed to the increase in the solar requirement, depending on the date of contract execution. Talk to your ENGIE representative to learn more.
