CPI Rises

The Consumer Price Index rose 2.7% in the 12 months leading up to November. While a larger uptick than the previous month, the increase was expected.
According to the labor department, stubborn core inflation is elevated due to increased housing costs. Inflation is slowing, but the Federal Reserve's target is 2% inflation. The market outlook for an interest rate cut in December is at 99% based on CME Group’s measure.
