ABCs Offer Gas & Power Predictions

A survey of 138 aggregators, brokers and consultants (ABCs) offers some insights on their perspective around energy prices and volatility. The Business Energy Census, a collaborative effort between Energy Research Consulting Group (MA) and ENGIE Resources, shows general agreement that price volatility will increase in the next year. However, when it comes to actual gas and power prices, there are distinct differences.

The most bearish outlook on natural gas belongs to ABC firms in New York and New England. These firms were also the most bearish on power. The most bullish prediction on power is in the region within PJM. The most bearish prediction for natural gas belongs to respondents from Texas.
